- rinse and sort the split peas - cook the pork belly - saute the aromatics - add the broth, aromatics, potatoes, spices to a stock pot and simmer for about 45 min
– add sliced kielbasa, ribs and simmer for another 15 minutes - taste and adjust seasoning - remove the bay leaves before serving - remove the ribs and serve them on the side or remove the bone and add the meat back to the soup
