Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Wash the beets thoroughly, then wrap them individually in aluminum foil. You can also cut them in half and place cut side down on the baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
Roast the beets in the preheated oven for about 45-60 minutes, or until they are fork-tender.
Once the beets are cooked, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Peel the cooled beets and grate or process in a food processor.
In a mixing bowl, combine the grated roasted beets and horseradish.
Add lemon juice, sugar, and salt, mix to combine with the beets.
Taste the salad and adjust the seasonings according to your preference.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the salad for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
Once chilled, serve the Cwikla z burakow as a side dish or a condiment.
Notes
